Languagelab.com, leading online English training provider, is set to launch Aviation English Live, a ground-breaking online Aviation English course in partnership with Emery-Roberts. Aviation English Live combines Languagelab’s expertise in virtual worlds English education with Emery-Roberts’ extensive experience in aviation English training.
The course is immersive and contextual with classes held at the airport within Languagelab’s virtual English City. The result of Aviation English Live is an unrivalled online English learning experience and proficiency progression for aviation professionals.
Aviation English Live focuses on the speaking and listening skills required to reach ICAO level 4 and above, complementing current courses for ICAO levels 3 to 4 and higher. The course covers the full 30 units of Emery-Roberts’ Check Your Aviation English textbook, including non routine scenarios and communications between pilots and air traffic control officers (ATCOs). Aviation English Live is particularly useful for pilots and ATCOs who are due to be tested for English language proficiency, or to maintain and increase current language proficiency levels.
Learners access the platform through a computer, using a headset and a microphone to interact with teachers live and in real time. All teachers are qualified teachers with English language teaching and aviation experience. Aviation English Live is a highly flexible training solution particularly suited to the irregular working hours of aviation professionals: classes can be held day or night, reaching learners in multiple time zones.
